  | Full Text Reviews: Booklist - 05/15/2016 Bowser loyally follows his human, Birdie, into a new mystery. Why would someone break into their home, tear it apart, but steal nothing? And why the reoccurring scents of lime aftershave and cat? Bowser happily relates Birdie’s quest—at least the bits he understands —and checks up on the new people in town, including Birdie’s mama, back from the oil rig, and Junior, the town ne’er-do-well’s son. False leads keep Birdie and Junior guessing as they learn new details about the murder of Birdie’s father.
