Author Biography

   Lynne Reid Banks was born in London, England in July of 1929.  During World War II she and many other children were evacuated to Canada.  She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and has worked as an actress, a TV journalist, and on an Israeli kibbutz.  The author and her husband, Adiel, a sculptor, have two grown children, Gillon and Omri.
   Banks is best known for her fantasy/adventure novels.
