Author Biography

   Arthur Dorros was born May 19, 1950 in Washington, D.C.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and worked as a carpenter, draftsman, photographer, cook and teacher. Dorros and his wife Sandra have a son named Alex.  The author's favorite pastime is traveling and he enjoys author visits.
   Dorros is best know for his picture books on both fiction and nonfiction topics.  "Abuela" was an ALA Notable Book.  "Feel the Wind," "Rain Forest Secrets," "Ant Cities" and "Tonight is Carnaval" were all Notable Children's Trade Social Studies Books.
