Author Biography

     Willo Davis Roberts was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 28, 1928 and died November 19, 2004. The author and her husband, David, are the parents of four adult children. There are twelve grandchildren. She often used their experiences and activities in her books.
     Roberts was a three-time winner of the Edgar Allen Poe Award for mystery writing. Well known for her mysteries and suspense novels, Roberts' first novel for adults was published in 1955. She went on to write 35 books for adults before turning to a young adult audience with "The View from the Cherry Tree." The author completed her 100th book before she died, with nearly thirty of them being for young adults.
