Shane Evans Website:shaneevans.com Birthplace: Oakland, CA Most recent address:Kansas City, MO Author Biography Shane Evans attended the Buffalo Academy Of Visual and Performing Arts from 5th to 9th grade, school of arts in Rochester during high school and majored in illustration at Syracuse University. He interned at Rolling Stone magazine in 1993. After graduation, Evans worked for Hallmark before pursuing illustration full time. At least once a year, he travels outside the country. He has been to Japan, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Australia, West Africa and other places. Evans was awarded the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award in 2004.
