Hutchison Hornets’ Birthday Book Club helps us add new books to our collection that will be enjoyed by students for years to come. Let us help to make your child’s birthday extra special while you help us build our library collection. This is a wonderful opportunity to benefit the library, to promote books, to foster a love of reading, and to create a special and lasting memory. Here are some of the ways we will create a birthday fuss for your child:

• A bookplate inside the book will have the name of the student to announce the birthday or special occasion donation for years to come.

• S/he will be the first person to “check out” the new book.

• Summer or holiday birthday? You can use this opportunity to celebrate a half-birthday. Other ways to celebrate your child(ren).

• Thank you – we remember you - We can prepare a book to remember a teacher’s birthday or honor a favorite teacher.

• Leave a Legacy - a remembrance of a loved one grandparent, loved one, friend.

• Educational Milestones - to celebrate an excellent report card, your fifth grader’s “graduation” to 6th grade, etc.

• Adopt an Animal – A book or monetary donation can be given to help us build up our nonfiction section about specific animals in our collection.

• Thank you so much for letting us be involved in your child’s celebration and love of reading!
