School Library Journal - 04/01/2015 Gr 2–4—Use origami paper to make the best paper airplanes ever, a canoe that really floats, or a hanging paper lantern. Detailed, step-by-step instructions (10–18 per project) and clear photos overlaid with dotted lines and arrows maximize any crafter's chance at success. Like "Origami Paperpalooza" (Capstone), this series maps out standard folds (mountain, valley, squash) in an introductory section, establishing new vocabulary that is put to good use in each of the six projects per book. Most of these folds result in flat objects, as is typical of simple origami, but each volume culminates in one slightly more complex creation, such as a space shuttle or sea monster. Kids will have fun folding and decorating everything from trains and planes to skulls and Santa. VERDICT Real crowd-pleasers. - Copyright 2015 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
