Booklist - 07/01/2019 In this fourth series title, 13-year-old Princess Olivia’s excited for her older sister Princess Mia’s upcoming coronation as ruler of Genovia. And not even annoying cousin Luisa’s presence can completely dampen Olivia’s happiness that her American best friend, Nishi, is visiting and maybe-more-than-a-friend Prince Khalil is returning. But then a distant relative files a lawsuit to stop the coronation, asserting that his son, spoiled eight-year-old Morgan, is the true heir. Meantime, Olivia has other unanticipated things to worry about, too, from feeling excluded from Nishi and Luisa’s lengthy discussions and bonding over having gotten their periods to the challenges of babysitting for the royal entourage, including Morgan. Soon, it’s becoming difficult to make the right choices; yet, despite everything, Olivia is determined to try, and the events gradually unfold toward optimistic outcomes. Olivia remains a vibrant, appealing protagonist, and her narrative details her experiences and events with wit and introspection. Throughout, Cabot approaches coming-of-age and adolescence, as well as other contemporary themes, such as social-media etiquette, in a relatable, supportive fashion. - Copyright 2019 Booklist.
