Halt works his stealthy magic again as a spy and a tactician maneuvering to defeat Morgarath’s army in the riveting battle scenes. Beyond the well-plotted adventure narrative, series fans will relish glimpses of Will and Princess Cassandra as infants and the portrayal of Gilan as a boy.
