  | Full Text Reviews: Booklist - 07/01/2016 The Mother-Daughter Book Club is back once again, in the seventh and final volume (really, this time Frederick means it) of this charming series, which observes a changing of the guard. The five girls from the book club forgo internships and extra courses, and instead spend their last summer together before college as camp counselors, passing the book club tradition on to their young charges. At Emma’s suggestion, they introduce a group of homesick new campers to Dorothy Canfield Fisher’s Understood Betsy and learn the joy of escaping city life for a deeper connection to nature and those around them. The summer is bittersweet for these five friends on the cusp of adulthood as they look ahead to starting college in the fall and contemplate careers, independent life, and new homes far away from one another. Readers who have grown up with Jess, Becca, Cassidy, Emma, and Megan will savor this send-off as a fitting conclusion to their journey together through adolescence. - Copyright 2016 Booklist.
