While Jokulsson is writing mainly for fans, even kids with little knowledge of professional soccer will absorb information about the sport’s history, stars, and teams. Notable for their color, clarity, and drama, the many impressive photos of players on the field will draw readers to these eye-catching books, which were originally published in Iceland. The translated texts are somewhat uneven in quality. U.S. Women’s Team features great players, past and present, as well as memorable events in the team’s history.
