  | Full Text Reviews: School Library Journal - 01/01/2000 Gr 1-4-The I Spy legacy continues with Treasure Hunt, the 10th installment in this successful series. Marzollo's structured rhymes provide the clues while Wick's stunningly detailed miniature village provides the hidden answers for readers to seek out. Some of the pictures require a lot of searching to find all of the objects mentioned in the rhyme. For those readers who can solve the rhymes in record time, Marzollo concludes with two pages of Extra Credit Riddles. In addition, instructions are offered on creating individual riddles in the series format. A background note explains how the sets for Treasure Hunt were built and photographed. Marzollo's rhyming text leads children to explore each scene in detail. For the illustrations, Wick has built and photographed a miniature coastal village called Smuggler's Cove, complete with lighthouse, seaside cave, and mysterious island. Intricate and ingenious, the sets will delight fans of minatures as well as fans of the series. The perspectives and lighting effects of the photos create some distinctive scenes.
