  | Full Text Reviews: Booklist - 09/01/2021 Most people don’t really need a reason to love sports, but The Sports Report series (8 new titles) uses the premise of 12 reasons to love a sport as a way to introduce its history, essential equipment, famous athletes, and more. Each reason is featured in a double-page spread with short text, several photos, and accompanying sidebars, diagrams, and by-the-numbers facts. Softball emphasizes that this is a female sport and how this came to be as well as how softball differs from baseball. The volumes conclude with a “Fact Sheet” that offers even more interesting details, a glossary, a bibliography, and a QR code with additional content.
