  | Full Text Reviews: School Library Journal - 05/01/2016 PreS-Gr 2—Señor Sasquatch wants to spend the day by the pool but doesn't want to get splashed. Water makes his fur "all squizzilefied." Miss Elephant Shark, Mr. Octo-Rhino, Miss Goat-Whale, and Miss Loch-Ness-Monster-Space-Alien ask to jump in the pool. Lifeguard Blobule allows them in but requests that they please not splash the Sasquatch. Of course, each one does. And Sasquatch gets squizzilefied. To help him recover, the friends spin, shimmy, and style him. He is so excited about his great new look that he has a splashy pool party to celebrate. The colorful, computer-generated cutout illustrations are fittingly playful and bright. Booklist - 05/15/2016 Señor Sasquatch from Don’t Squish the Sasquatch (2012) is back with his uberquirky and highly annoying cronies. This time, Sr. Sasquatch is poolside, concerned about getting splashed and consequently “squizzlefied” (his fur gets messy). Even though Lifeguard Blobule implores them not to, the menagerie of hybrid beasts (Miss Elephant Shark, Mr. Octo-Rhino, Miss Goat-Whale, and Miss Loch-Ness-Monster-Space-Alien) dive into the pool, soundly splashing Sr. Sasquatch. They are appropriately horrified at what they’ve done and quickly help style Sr. Sasquatch out of his squizzlefied state. When a pool party ensues with much splashing, Sr. Sasquatch gets revenge with a big splash of his own. The humor is just right for the intended age group, and the story is peppered with characters straight out of a preschooler’s imagination. The simple, repetitive text (the title is shouted every other page in the beginning), the uncomplicated action, and the cast of appealing, clearly drawn, outlandishly goofy characters will make this a favorite for group read-alouds. - Copyright 2016 Booklist.
