Here the subject of cloud formation is on beautiful display. Cleanly laid out with abundant white space, a typical double-page spread consists of a few short sentences, a QR code, and an attractive cloud photo on the facing page. Key concepts, such as water vapor and evaporation, appear in green to signal glossary definitions, but their general meaning can be gleaned from context clues. The QR codes lead to publisher hosted videos, activities, and links, which aid in making “big” scientific concepts accessible to primary-grade readers.
