  | Full Text Reviews: Booklist - 07/01/2014 Plenty of football-team series exist, but few pair such a sophisticated level of magazine-style design with content aimed at the youngest set of readers. The Super Bowl Champions series is a feast for the eyes, with giant full-bleed action photos crackling with color and motion. Everything else takes a backseat, and the organization suffers somewhat, with each bit of info feeling rather random in placement. On a page-by-page basis, however, it’s a pleasure to experience. Players are captioned with fact-filled dialogue bubbles, and some of the photos have a starburst background; both elements add a bit of comic-book flair. A few sentences tell readers about the town, team history, and key players (sometimes alongside a Sound It Out pronunciation key) before the book sprints for the end zone. Baltimore Ravens links the team’s 1995 founding to the NFL Super Bowl just four years later. A useful Facts File ends each title, but it’s the overall sense of power and thrill that’ll get young readers reaching for the next book and probably the pigskin as well. - Copyright 2014 Booklist.
