Full Text Reviews:

School Library Journal - 10/14/2022 Gr 2–5—In the newest entry in the "Babymouse" series, the petite protagonist wishes her whiskers were less wonky, a little more slick. With a sprinkle of imagination, she gets her wish, and it's not quite as perfect as she had dreamed. Through a series of frank lunch table discussions and friendly schoolyard escapades, she embraces her own unique, wobbly-whiskered self. Readers familiar with Babymouse will enjoy her flights of fancy into fairy tales and Greek and Norse mythology, as well as more recent references such as Titanic and talk shows. In this new, larger format series, the Holms' rodent heroine finds her world expanded in a full-color, double page-count adventure, giving the familiar cast more time to play and the settings room to breathe. VERDICT Fans of the accessible, upbeat series will be thrilled by this super-sized return, but it also offers a meaty introduction for newcomers.—Emilia Packard - Copyright 2022 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
