School Library Journal - 07/18/2025 Gr 3–5—A new addition to the "Creative Sports" series, this title will capture the interest of older children who love football. Each title in the series focuses on a specific era of the game, such as a period of dominant defenses, the rise of dual-threat quarterbacks, or the success of West Coast teams. This title closely resembles other series volumes, written in long-form text, with exciting play-by-play action and engaging statistics. The graphics feature bold background colors and color blocking, with large photos of famous athletes layered over the designs. This is an excellent fit for sports fans who enjoy reading at length about their favorite sport; it's not aimed at those who prefer quick facts and lots of pictures. Each contains a table of contents, a list of the Super Bowl legends featured in the book, and an index. VERDICT A great entry in a series for football fans who enjoy a longer, more in-depth nonfiction read.—Kate Rao - Copyright 2025 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
