School Library Journal - 03/20/2026 Gr 3 Up—This original graphic novel in the Spider-Man universe features Gwen Stacy on Earth-65. Her father has quit his job to protect Gwen and her alter ego full-time, making money tight. When the famous Trixie St. Dixie, who was her mom's old college roommate, seeks out Gwen, she offers Gwen and her father jobs. Meanwhile, two suspicious beings—Arachnid and Punk Spider—are tangled up in the chaos of an alternate universe. The fast pace and punchy writing style are reminiscent of classic Spider-Man titles. The story unfolds quickly, with immersive artwork that pulls readers into the world of Earth-65. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep young readers on the edge of their seats. VERDICT Recommended for elementary and middle school libraries looking to broaden their Spider-Man collections.—Esther Keller - Copyright 2026 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
