Booklist - 06/01/2026 Toad is back in action, towing trucks and cars. When mistakes happen, Toad is there to help! After he receives a call, he’s off on the go! But oops, Toad goes too fast when the light turns green and accidentally bumps into Winnie Neigh-Nay. As Toad drives back to his shop, readers will see all the accidents his neighbors have. Once he gets home, Toad’s pop reminds that mistakes happen and that they are fixable! Like Awan’s previous Toad book, this story shares an important virtue in a way that has kid-appeal. Gentle, easy-to-grasp storytelling makes for both a great read-aloud and a useful tool for those working on their reading skills. The colors are saturated and bold yet have a gentle feel. While clearly different than the original story, Toad on the Go will still appeal to those who loved Towed by Toad. - Copyright 2026 Booklist.
