School Library Journal - 10/01/2025 Gr 1–3—Dot, Lily, and Bess take riding lessons at Miss Sophie's Starbright Stables, and in the newest titles they house-sit a farm and its animals, host a snotty guest in their stables, solve a mystery about missing equipment, and visit a state park where wild horses roam free. The girls are kind, responsible, and thoughtful—qualities that make them great role models for young readers. Horse lovers will appreciate the heavy focus on riding and stable life. Each book contains 10 short chapters with simple vocabulary and plenty of colorful illustrations, making them accessible and engaging for early chapter book readers. VERDICT A horse lover's dream that lives up to previous titles in the series and is well worth adding to collections. - Copyright 2025 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
