Each spread pairs an image of an adult Supergirl soaring and saving the day in her red cape, punching flaming asteroids with her “POW!-WHAM!-BOOM!” fists, alongside a companion image of our tiny tot in a Supergirl T-shirt, going through her bedtime ritual with Mommy: sharing a book and a snuggle before courageously facing the dark to rest, and then soar another day. The words are sparse but pack a punch, and the images are colorful and action-packed, making this book—like the rest of this superhero series—feel like a perfect introductory graphic novel for picture-book readers.
