Booklist - 10/01/2024 This short book in the Disability Pride series (6 titles) is packed with information about various forms of inclusion for people with disabilities, both visible and invisible. It covers inclusion in schools and workplaces, in designing spaces, in technology, in communities, and in the past and future. At first glance, the text feels a bit lengthy and dense, but once readers dive in, they will find a wealth of information on both the history of inclusion and ways to promote and participate in inclusion efforts today. Well-chosen photos illustrate key concepts, and the historical photos are especially interesting. Captions and Learn More features supplement the information in the main text. A glossary, an index, and a Read More section round out the back matter. An informative book on an important topic. - Copyright 2024 Booklist.
