Other - 04/07/2025 This cheerful, series-starting podcast spin-off from DuBurke and Brooks follows young Alfie and babysitter Quentin, both portrayed with brown skin, as they take their educational alphabet adventures to the page. After being teased about his name, Alfie feels down until a walk around town with the "world’s best babysitter" helps him see that "there’s a whole world of wonderfulness in those letters!" On their outing, the duo explore, via the characters in Alfie, a range of careers waiting to be discovered: For L, they spot a lighthouse while walking past "Luna’s Links" mini-golf course, prompting musings about lighthouse keeper life. Alliterative dialogue ("I is for Alfie the illustrator! His pictures illuminate with interesting, inviting images") and thickly outlined cartooning contribute to a work that shows how earnest banter can prompt enjoyment and learning. Background characters are portrayed with various skin tones. Ages 3-6. (July) - Copyright 2025
