Booklist - 05/15/2016 Two boys named Tim are best friends forever. They doeverything together. “Wherever Tim goes, there goes Tim. Whatever Tim does, Tim does it, too.” The two Tims like the same things. Or so they think until Tom joins them. The two Tims take turns being bored while one or the other enjoys playing knights or “crazy-dancing” with Tom. When the two Timsrealize that neither can swim, Tom decides to teach them. Elliot collaborates with Alborozo to produce a charming story that addresses a common problem among inseparable friends. Elliott’s narrative features the two Tims, who havedifficulty breaking their bond of friendship to include others. But as they get to know Tom, the Tims learn valuable lessons about themselves and friendship. Alborozo’s playful, cartoonish scenes—mixed media illustrations with squiggly ink lines and soft washes of color—are a wonderfulcomplement to Elliot’s simple yet engaging text. Closing on an encouraging note with a clever twist, this makes for a great story time read as well as a delightful educational tool. - Copyright 2016 Booklist.
