Full Text Reviews:

School Library Journal - 11/01/2023 PreS-Gr 2—In this lovable follow-up to The Littlest Yak, Gertie the yak is excited to become a big sister. When her mom goes away to prepare for the baby, Gertie's grandma comes to stay. Gertie is ready to share her pine cones and favorite books but less certain about sharing her mother. Is there room enough in her mother's heart for two yaks? A drawing of a heart and reassurance from her mother lets Gertie see the truth, right before she meets the newest member of the family. The font is on the small side for emerging readers, but they will immediately discern that a parent always has room for a growing family. VERDICT A good story to have on hand for families expecting a new addition.—Annmarie Braithwaite - Copyright 2023 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
