School Library Journal - 10/01/2025 Gr 2–4—In the latest installments of this science fiction adventure series, Charlie and her robot friend Random visit planets where cute alien creatures are in need of rescuing. In the Helpful Hootpuff, Charlie and others explore the caves on Planet Vela in search of power sources for their settlement and run into amazing animals who are also in need of power. In the Snuggly Snowpop, Charlie is on a mission to climb the highest mountain on Planet Vela. Along the way, she meets some adorable but mischievous creatures called Snowpops who cause more trouble than assistance. But when a snowstorm blows in, Charlie and her companions might just need their help. This science fiction series has all the classic elements of the genre tailored to a young audience: mysterious planets, fluffy creatures and a dollop of danger.
