A typical page features a single photo, accompanied by a text box that includes a couple of sentences. Overall, the color photos are well chosen and offer diversity in those depicted. In the text, the approach varies from one volume to the next. One might survey the topic broadly, mentioning many specialties within the profession, while another looks more closely at a particular job. Farmer focuses primarily on traditional North American agricultural crops (apples, corn, pumpkins, wheat) and farm animals such as dairy cows, though one picture shows indoor farming. Of the many attractive photos, several depict children helping out on family farms.
