In an Alf-like set-up, Astro (a seafoam-green extraterrestrial shaped like a walking gumdrop) lives with an American family, and he has lots of questions about life in the U.S. Siblings Ben and Eva show him the ropes by embarking on illuminating fieldtrips. A school election ushers in Astro the Alien Learns about Voting, which imparts the fundamentals of voting at school as well as on a local and national scale.
