In an Alf-like set-up, Astro (a seafoam-green extraterrestrial shaped like a walking gumdrop) lives with an American family, and he has lots of questions about life in the U.S. Siblings Ben and Eva show him the ropes by embarking on illuminating fieldtrips. Astro and his friends attend a city council meeting to ask if trees will be planted in the park in Astro the Alien Visits City Hall.
