Booklist - 05/15/2015 Although young children may think that research projects hinge upon nothing more than a quick Google search, these titles in the Information Explorer Junior series show students some more professional ways to search for, edit, and present information. Speak Up! identifies the common fear of public speaking before delving into planning a presentation using the PLAN model (Purpose, Length, Audience, Notes, and Visual Aids). It follows with tips for organizing the presentation, practicing it, and delivering it. The clean layout with color photos and graphics, large print, and highlighted glossary words also includes activities that reinforce each topic. The books are terrific individually, but together, they create an even stronger resource that spans the research process. - Copyright 2015 Booklist.
