Full Text Reviews:

School Library Journal - 10/01/2025 Gr 1–3—Seven-year-old Huxley Higgins can't seem to help causing chaos and confusion wherever he goes. In this first set of four books in the series, readers quickly learn that Huxley, like his spiritual ancestor Ameila Bedelia, takes the things his parents say quite literally: catching a ferry = catching a fairy; "Grandpa caught a bug," means a giant space bug in Huxley's mind; umpire sounds like vampire, and so on. With bright, engaging photos on every page, large print, and short chapters, young readers will love Huxley's shenanigans and, in some cases, enjoy knowing more than he does. It's easy to imagine this being a favorite series of some readers. VERDICT Recommended for most collections. - Copyright 2025 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
