Full Text Reviews:

School Library Journal - 04/01/2017 Gr 3–5—Gorgeous images are paired with authoritative information in this outstanding series. Loaded with age-appropriate text and fascinating details—New Zealand is actually the microcontinent Zealandia, of which 93 percent is underwater (Islands)—each volume balances broad content with specific facts, making the well-researched material more appealing to readers. Striking photographs, such as that of Yellowstone's Grand Prismatic Spring (Lakes), are breathtaking and could easily be found in books of nature photography. The inclusion of a "Primary Source List" is a distinctive and beneficial resource for report writers and those students interested in independent research. VERDICT An excellent selection for school and public libraries' earth science collections. - Copyright 2017 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
