Loaded with age-appropriate text and fascinating details—New Zealand is actually the microcontinent Zealandia, of which 93 percent is underwater (Islands)—each volume balances broad content with specific facts, making the well-researched material more appealing to readers. Striking photographs, such as that of Yellowstone's Grand Prismatic Spring (Lakes), are breathtaking and could easily be found in books of nature photography. The inclusion of a "Primary Source List" is a distinctive and beneficial resource for report writers and those students interested in independent research.
