Booklist - 05/01/2025 Kara is the senior resident doctor at Creature Clinic, a hospital her grandfather opened to provide medical care for all the fantastical inhabitants of Myth Valley. Her mother is currently the head of the hospital, and Kara works extremely hard to live up to her expectations. Emotions between the two boil over when a giant shows up in need of care and a human boy is found stuck to the bottom of his shoe. Kara is a firm believer in helping all living creatures, while her mother thinks humans are too dangerous. In secret, Kara helps nurse the boy back to health, and hilarity ensues as she tries to keep him hidden from the rest of the clinic staff. Than's bright, bold cartoon artwork entertainingly blends a wide range of fairy tale creatures, such as ogres, werewolves, and unicorns, and the slapstick humor and quick comic timing will surely lead to lots of laughs. Full of fun and heart, this fantasy comedy will satisfy plenty of middle-grade comics readers. - Copyright 2025 Booklist.
