Full Text Reviews:

School Library Journal - 02/01/2026 K-Gr 2—In this follow-up to Yoon's Kat and Mouse: I Like Cheese, Kat and Mouse decide to have a sleepover. Both characters gather what they need for a successful sleepover, including a sleeping bag, sheets for a fort, nachos, and costumes, all before asking "What could go wrong?" Unfortunately, Mouse wants to read, and Kat wants to dance, leading to unhappiness all around until Mouse comes up with the perfect solution: Mouse will narrate from one of their books while Kat acts it out. The friends remain kind and work together to find a solution in each disagreement, making this a cozy tale of friendship and conflict resolution. Kids will relate to the characters and to the sleepover activities. Vibrant illustrations combined with limited text and simple panel layouts, helpfully outlined in bold black lines, make this an accessible title for those just starting to read independently. VERDICT Another sweet tale of friendship from Kat and Mouse, well worth the investment.—Kelcy Davis - Copyright 2026 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
