How do I add titles to a booklist?

From Search Results click on + next to each title to add individual titles to your booklist, or from the top of the Search Results page choose Add 1 each from this page or Add 1 each from all results. If your search results found several pages of titles, and you choose Add 1 each from this page, it will add 1 of each title from the current page of search results you are viewing to your booklist. If you choose to Add 1 each from all results it will add one of each title found to your booklist.

How do I delete titles from a booklist?

From View Book List click on next to each title to delete individual titles from your booklist. You may also use the Remove feature from the top of the View Book List page to remove Red Lights, Selected, In Bindery, Temp OS, Unavailable or Non Common Core titles from your booklist.

What does it mean if a title is “In Bindery”?

“In Bindery” titles are going through the pre-binding process. The prebinding process takes from 6 to 8 weeks.

How do I know the length of time it will be for a title to be available if it is “In Bindery”?

If you mouse over “In Bindery” it will display the stage of prebinding a title is in and the approximate length of time before that title is available for shipment.

What is a Boolean Search?

Booleans are simple terms that can be added to your search words to make the results more flexible or specific. Using Boolean terms in your search will also greatly increase the accuracy of your search results.

What is the “Express Wishlist”?

Express Wishlist is designed to help you create a booklist quickly with titles that are essential for your library. Titles listed are well reviewed, current publications from our top sellers, our Cream of the Crop and our featured titles from the past two years. There are also filters available to narrow your list.

How do I search for Common Core titles?

Click Common Core from Search to search for titles that Bound to Stay Bound cataloging experts have carefully analyzed and aligned to the appropriate grade level, classification and theme of the National Common Core State Standards. You may also view text exemplars by set from the bottom of the Common Core page.

How do I search for Reading Program titles?

Choose Reading Programs from Search. You may search for titles that are Accelerated Reader, Reading Counts, Lexile or Fountas & Pinnell.

How do I search for bilingual titles?

Choose Advanced from Search. Click on the Clear button at the top of the page to clear any previous advanced search criteria. The options left checked are the default settings. Choose the language that you wish to search for from the Language box. You may search for English only, Spanish only, English-Spanish, or Other Bilingual titles. Click Search at the top of the page.

How do I find out more information about a title?

There are a couple of different ways to find out more information about a title. Clicking on the picture cover or clicking on the name of the title will open up the Detail Page. From the Detail Page you can click View MARC Record. You may also click the + more information located at the bottom portion of each individual title result box to view the detail information.

How do I change the number of titles displayed or the sort order of titles?

From both the Search Results and View Book List page click on the down arrow in the upper right corner to change the number of items displayed per page as well as the sort order.


Booklists

How do I create a new booklist?

From My Bookstore click Book Lists, click New located at the top of the page, give your booklist a name then click Save.

How do I view, rename, copy, delete, merge, distribute or compare a booklist?

From My Bookstore click Book Lists, click on the Select box next to the booklist(s) name you wish to work with, click on the desired function, click Save.

How do I print my Booklist?

From My Bookstore click Book Lists, click on the Select box next to the booklist name you wish to print, click Print, click Print again located at the bottom of the page. You may also print a booklist from View Book List by clicking on the printer icon located in the upper right corner of the page.

How do I move titles from one booklist to another?

From View Book List select the titles you wish to move/copy to another list, click Move/Copy located at the top of the screen, choose a current list or a new list and click Move or Copy.

How do I remove titles from a booklist?

From View Book List click on next to each title to delete individual titles from your booklist. You may also use the Remove feature from the top of View Book List page to remove Red Lights, Selected, In Bindery, Temp OS, Unavailable or Non Common Core titles from your booklist.

How do I add cancelled titles from a previous order to a new booklist?

From My Bookstore click Orders, click on the Select box next to the order you wish to move the cancelled titles from, click View Canceled. A new window will open where you can add to an existing booklist or create a new booklist, click Save.


Cataloging and Processing

How do I update the specifications that I currently have on file?

Call customer support at 800-637-6586 to make any changes to your current cataloging and processing specifications.

How do I see what current cataloging and processing specifications that I have on file?

From My Bookstore click Specs from My Account box located to the right of the page.


Ordering

How do I place my order?

From My Bookstore click Book Lists, click the Select box next to the booklist name you wish to order, click View. Click Place Order located at the top of any screen. You may also email your order to orders@btsb.com or fax it to 800-747-2872.

How do I get a quote?

From Place Order under Payment Options click the radio button next to Reserve these titles and await for PO. Provide your email or fax number in the notes and a quote will be sent to you. We will not release your order until a confirming purchase order has been received.

Does BTSB offer Order Typing Service?

Yes, Title Status Reports of books you want are FREE of charge.


Orders

How do I find the status of my current or shipped orders?

From My Bookstore click Orders, click the Select button next to the order you wish to know the status, click View Current to view what is remaining on backorder, click View Shipped to view what has already been shipped or click View Canceled to view what titles have been canceled.

How do I view or print reports for current or shipped orders?

From My Bookstore click Orders, click the Select button next to the order you wish to view or print reports from, click View Current, View Shipped or View Canceled, click View/Print Reports, Select a Report from the drop down, select a sort order for your report from the drop down, click View/Print from the bottom of the screen.

How do I get a copy of my invoice?

From My Bookstore click Orders, click the Select button next to the order you wish to have a copy of the invoice from, click View Shipped, click View/Print Reports, from Select a Report choose Invoice from the drop down, select a sort order for your report from the drop down, click View/Print from the bottom of the screen, click the printer icon from the print bar or right click and choose print.


MARC Records

How do I download my MARC records?

There are two ways to download MARC records. 1. From My Bookstore find My Recent Orders box located to the bottom left of the page, select the radio button next to the shipment you wish to download, click Download MARC Records, from the pop-up box click Download My MARC Records, from the file download box click Save and choose a location to save the file. 2. From My Bookstore click Orders, click the Select button next to the order you wish to download MARC records, click View Shipped, click Download MARC Records, from the file download box click Save and choose a location to save the file.

How long are my MARC records available for download?

MARC records are available for download for 180 days from the date of the invoice.

How do I print my barcode listing?

From My Bookstore click Orders, click the Select button next to the order you wish to have a copy of the invoice from, click View Shipped, click View/Print Reports, from Select a Report choose Barcode Listing from the drop down, select a sort order for your report from the drop down, click View/Print from the bottom of the screen, click the printer icon from the print bar or right click and choose print.

How do I know my MARC records are ready to download?

An email with a link to our website will be sent to the address on file for your account that a shipment has been made and MARC records are available for download.


My Account

How do I change my sort preferences?

From My Bookstore choose Profile, Choose your sort preferences and display choice from the drop downs, click Save.

How do I change my email address?

From My Bookstore click Contact, change your email address then click Update. This will NOT reset your User Name. To change your User Name to your new email address please call Customer Support 800-637-6586 or contact us through our Live Chat feature located at the top right of any page of the Bookstore.

How do I change my password?

From the Login page (make sure you are logged out) click Unable to log in? Enter your email address then click Reset Password. A link to reset your password will be emailed to you.

How do I find out what my password is if I have forgotten it?

If you have forgotten your password you will have to reset it. From the Login page click Unable to log in? Enter your email address, click Reset Password. A link to reset your password will be emailed to you.


My Collections

How do I upload my collection for duplicate checking?

From My Bookstore click Collections, click Upload New Collection. For assistance saving your file see Export Instructions from the Collections page.

How do I delete my collections?

From My Bookstore go to the My Collections box. Select the collection to delete and use the dark blue Delete button located at the bottom of the box or choose Collections under the My Bookstore tab, click on the collection to delete and click the dark blue Delete button located below the box.

How do I append my collections?

From the My Bookstore tab go to the My Collections box located at the bottom right. Select the collection then click Append located at the bottom of the box or choose Collections under My Bookstore, click the collection to append then click Append located below the box.

What are “My Collections”?

Click Collections from My Bookstore. Choose the first option “Introduction to Dupcheck and Collection Analysis” for a description of this service.


Collection Analysis

How do I upload my collection to Bound to Stay Bound for analysis?

From My Bookstore click Collections, click Upload New Collection. Fill in the page and at the bottom, choose “I would like to have my records analyzed for both duplicate checking and collection analysis. For assistance saving your file see Export Instructions from Collections.


Returns

How do I return merchandise?

Resalable, unmarked, unprocessed books may be returned for credit or exchange. Processed books may only be returned due to imperfections in the binding or errors in processing. Fill out the returns form found at the bottom of any page of the BTSB Bookstore under Customer Service, Forms. The forms are in PDF format. Pack the merchandise with protective material to firmly secure items but do not use newspaper as the ink will rub off onto the book covers. Return merchandise using a traceable means of shipping.

What is your return policy?

Resalable, unmarked, unprocessed books may be returned for credit or exchange. Processed books may only be returned due to imperfections in the binding or errors in processing. If you have questions or concerns about our return policy contact us at 800-637-6586.

Are BTSB books guaranteed?

Each BTSB book is unconditionally guaranteed against imperfections in the binding or errors in processing.


Registering and Redeeming Coupons

How do I register my coupon?

From My Bookstore click Coupon from My Account box located to the upper right of the page. Enter your code in the open text box located to the right of Coupon Code, click Save

How do I redeem my coupon?

From Place Order, enter your coupon code in the open text box next to Enter a code in the Discounts area.


Shipping and Handling

What is the charge for shipping and handling?

There are no shipping and handling charges on any orders shipped within the continental United States.

What is the charge for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and international?

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and international shipping is determined with the customer on an order by order basis.

What carrier do you use for shipping?

Most orders ship via FedEx Ground.


General

How are age levels determined?

Age levels are determined by several factors. Bound to Stay Bound cataloging experts look at the recommended publisher’s age and then see if they line up with layout of the wording in the book, difficulty of the words and subject matter. If available, the Accelerated Reader reading level is also taken into consideration. A final decision is then made based on all of these factors as a whole.
