Author Biography

   Emily Rodda grew up on Sydney's North Shore and graduated from the University of Sydney in 1973 with an MA in English Literature.
   Emily Rodda's real name is Jennifer Rowe. When she submitted the manuscript of her first book Something Special to the publishing company where she worked she used her grandmother's name Emily Rodda in order to get an honest opinion from the other editors. She writes all of her children's books under Emily Rodda and uses Jennifer Rowe for her adult books.
