Author Biography

   Christian Robinson was raised by his grandmother. He is a graduate of the CalArts' character animation program. Robinson works as an illustrator and animator. He has worked with Pixar Animation Studios, Sesame Street Workshop and has illustrated a number of picture books.
   Robinson is a vegetarian. He enjoys laughing until it hurts, fragances such as lavender, mint, and citrus, nourishing foods, mint green tea, the color olive green and meditating. His favorite movies include The Color Purple, Elizabeth, The Fifth Element, Little Miss Sunshine, Forest Gump and Jurrasic Park. He enjoys listenting to music by Joni Mitchell, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, Coldplay, and Bjork.
   Robinson received a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor in 2015 for Josephine.
