Author Biography

   Susan Middleton Elya was born June 14, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa, the second of five children. She received her Bachelor's from Iowa State University in elementary education and Spanish and a Master's from the University of Nebraska.
   Susan has worked as a teacher, a U.S. Post Office letter carrier, a bartender, a racetrack ticket seller, a door-to-door salesperson, a telemarketer, and a Sunday school teacher. She recently opened a store called the Polka Dot Attic in Danville, California, specializing in new things, old things and her books.
   When she is not writing, she enjoys buying and selling antiques, gardening, reading, and sewing.
   Susan and her husband, Bob, live in California and are the parents of three children.
